Logging in the Lake George Park

Introduction and Overview

Logging activities in the Lake George Park require submittal of a “Notice of Intent / Soil Conservation Plan Form” 15 days prior to undertaking any logging activities that involve the use/construction of a log landing, header, skid roads or trails. This form identifies where and when the logging activity will take place, and help ensure that proper erosion and sediment controls are planned and in place. There is no application or submittal fee for this process. Please see the introductory letter and Notice of Intent form on this page.

Please reach out to the Commission at 518-668-9347 with any questions regarding logging in the Lake George Park.
